Here is a round up of Academy and Youth games played over the weekend and midweek. The Cray Academy side went down to a 2-1 defeat at home to Darford Reds on Wednesday. This was a good performance from the young Cray side with George Warren on target. The next game for the Academy side is next Wednesday at home to Crystal Palace FA. The Academy side home games are played on the 3G at Meridian Sports Club in Charlton.
In the Kent Youth League matches on Sunday there was another impressive victory for the U13s as they advanced in the Kent County Cup with a 6-2 home win over Kings Hill. They will now travel to Woodcombe Youth in the next round taking place on 1st November.
In League matches, the U18s suffered their first defeat of the season with a 0-4 defeat at home to West Wickham. The U16s were beaten 0-6 at Tunbridge Wells whilst the U14s were beaten 0-11 at home to HF Sports Paulista.
In the SELKENT League, the U14 side had a tremendous 16-1 win at Thamesmead Tigers. The two U12s sides saw Cup action with the Cray Wanderers Sharks advancing with a 7-1 win at home to Our Lady Youth Orange, whilst the Cray Wanderers Piranhas were beaten 0-6 at home to Eltham Lions United.
The U9 Sharks were also in Cup action winning their pool with a 4-0 win against Club Langley Claws and 3-1 win against Junior Reds Athletic.
The Cray Wanderers Community team has been taking a short enforced break from Kent County League games but hopefully will be back in action fairly soon
