Saturday 15th June saw the Isthmian League Annual Awards presentations. This year the event took place at the lavish Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton. The weather wasn’t great for mid June but it was a great evening especially for Cray Wanderers who picked up a couple of awards on the night as well as the Bostik South-East Player of the Year and four Cray Wanderers players were chosen for the team of the year as selected by the managers of the respective clubs.
Cray Wanderers were presented once again along with a engraved silver award and a shield for being the first Bostik South-East champions.
Reflections of the evening
Meanwhile the Bostik South-East Manager of the season award was won deservedly by Tony Russell as Cray Wanderers won promotion to the Isthmian Premier.
Congratulations also to Jay Leader who was voted Bostik South-East Player of the season. A deserved recognition for a superb campaign for Jay.
The Bostik South-East team of the season as selected by the managers of the competing clubs saw four Cray Wanderers players selected.
Tom Carlse, Jay Leader, Ben Mundele and Bradley Pritchard. This made it two seasons in a row that all four got in the all star team after Tom and Bradley who were
Greenwich Borough players joined Jay and Ben in the Bostik South team of the year.
