Today marks two years since the first match was played at Flamingo Park, a significant milestone in the continued growth of the facility and the wider football community it serves.
In just two years, Flamingo Park has developed into what we believe is now the largest football community facility in South London, providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to train, compete, and develop in a high-quality environment.

A Facility built for the Community
Flamingo Park is now home to an extensive range of pitches, allowing football to take place across multiple formats and age groups. The site currently includes:
•Three full-size pitches
•Two nine-a-side pitches
•Two seven-a-side pitches
•Two five-a-side pitches
This variety enables the facility to support everything from grassroots football and youth development to competitive adult football, throughout the week.
Football at Scale
The scale of activity at Flamingo Park reflects its growing role within the local community. Across all sections of the club and academy, the site now supports:
•Dozens of matches taking place each week
•Nearly 700 players across all age groups and sections
•More than 200 hours of football activity every week
From teams training multiple times a week to fixtures played both home and away, Flamingo Park has become a constant hub of football activity, development, and participation.
More Than Just a Venue
While the scale of activity at Flamingo Park is impressive, the facility’s impact extends well beyond numbers and match schedules. Flamingo Park has become a true hub for football culture in the area – a place where families, coaches and supporters come together with shared enthusiasm for the game.
Looking Ahead
Reaching the two-year mark is an important moment to reflect on how far Flamingo Park has come, but it is also a reminder that the journey is still very much ongoing. With continued investment, growing participation, and the support of players, coaches, volunteers, and the wider community, Flamingo Park will continue to expand its impact in the years ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the story so far. The next chapter is just beginning.
