TAKE THAT (Rule The World)


23rd February 2024 – Doors 7pm


‘Rule The World’ have been recognised as the Number 1 Take That tribute act in the world.


They recently appeared alongside Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters and THE REAL TAKE THAT on BBC1’s ‘The Graham Norton Show’. After hearing Dan Maines speak, a stunned Gary Barlow said in amazement “He sounds like me!”. Gary then also praised the band saying “These guys are good!”.

‘Rule The World’ have also been featured on ITV1′s ‘Daybreak’ and have had rave reviews from many people including TV personality Ricky Tomlinson, Denise Van Outen. Jason Orange’s mother and Mr GARY BARLOW himself who tweeted the band to say he thought they are “brilliant”. They are the ONLY Take That tribute show in the land to have ever been praised by Take That’s lead singer!

The show is an accurate portrayal of a Take That concert and features all the biggest hits including ‘Never Forget’, ‘Greatest Day’, ‘Back For Good’, ‘Relight My Fire’, ‘Everything Changes’, ‘Shine’, ‘Pray’ and many more.

Cray Wanderers Football Club wish to apologise for the fact that due to the recent acquisition of the Flamingo Park venue, there are as yet no disabled facilities, and access to venue is via two flights of stairs. Ladies toilets are on the same floor as performance and men’s down the mentioned stairs. Limited chairs for performance can be requested separately by calling 07885335295, at least 3 days before event. As part of our clubs ongoing development of the site, we plan to add disabled facilities, and will keep you posted for any future events. All profits go directly to the running of Cray Wanderers Football Club. The event is run entirely by club volunteers.

Just like their forebears, Voodoo Room are a classic power trio!


First up is journey-man guitarist, Peter Orr. He has been thrilling audiences throughout the UK and Europe for nearly 3 decades, mashing up classic riff based rock anthems, with the energy and style evocative of their time. His jaw dropping solos and epic vocal styling’s, have wowed all those lucky enough to experience this virtuoso inject new life into the classics…

The Engine Room of this amazing three-piece is the stunning rhythm section of Jevon Beaumont & John Tonks. Their superlative credentials include: Massive Attack, Duran Duran, Sting, Thunder, Bryan Adams, Fish, Stevie Winwood, Arthur Brown etc etc… not to mention Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and many more!

Together they form the mighty, retro, rocking machine that is “Voodoo Room” – their mission: To deliver the all time great Hendrix, Clapton & Cream numbers, with the true passion and energy worthy of these true master pieces!

Widely acknowledged as the UK’s best, front man Paul Metcalfe and live band take you on a musical journey that spans six decades from humble beginnings in the R ‘n B clubs to world-famous rock sensation. Paul explained: “Rod’s music brings back a lot of memories for people, and everyone can remember the first time they heard Maggie May. Rod has such an amazing back catalogue of songs and such variety as well. Wonderful ballads, joyful upbeat songs and some great rockers.”

From his early rock anthems like ‘Maggie May’ and ‘Stay With Me’ to the smooth ballads such as ‘The First Cut is The Deepest’ and ‘You’re in My Heart’, every song is performed with passion and precision. The electrifying showmanship, authentic costumes and dynamic live musicians will have you singing and dancing all night!
Paul added: “I feel very lucky that other people seem to love it as well. When I’m on stage I go into another world and do things I wouldn’t normally dream of doing.
