FT – FA Cup 3QR – Cray Wanderers 3 (Ogunwamide 18, Yusuff 20, Adaja 69) Chippenham Town 0
- Full report to follow
The Wands are through to the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the fourth time after another fine performance and clean sheet vs. Chippenham Town.
The game was tight to begin with but burst open with a remarkable goal once again from Ola Ogunwamide who cut inside from the right and after finding space cracked a shot home from just past 25 yards and into the top left corner.
Two minutes later it was 2-0 when Lateef Adaja down the left put over a great cross and Ade Yusuff smashed home from 5 yards.
Cray saw out the rest of the half comfortably but Chippenham had a bit of a flurry and Olaf Koszlea saw a shot pushed round by JJ Briggs and at the other end Alex Hernandez saw a shot held.
In the 69th minute the win was sealed when down the left Hernandez cross-shot hit the right post but fell invitingly to Lateef Adaja to net his first of the season.
Chippenham were awarded a penalty eight minutes from time but Briggs did well to save Koszlea’s kick and Cray could have had more goals but had done more than enough to get through to Monday’s draw (2pm, TalkSport)
