Cray Wanderers 100 Club Draw Result for February

Hello to all Members of the 100 Club.

The February draw for the 100 Club was held at Hayes Lane yesterday, at Cray Wanderers’ last “home” fixture of the month, with Kingstonian FC.

We always seem to have problems against the K’s but a rasping Anthony Cook free kick, sailed over the wall and seemed to just clip the inside of the post and nestled nicely in the back of the net for a one-nil victory.

With CEO Sam Wright also in attendance pitchside, in front of the main stand, we asked another Cray Wanderers legend, Phil Collins to perform this month’s draw, and these were the results pulled out of the tombola:-

The first Prize of £150, went to the holder of number 38 and that was the ball of Mr Nick Hillman of Orpington. Congratulations Nick.

The second ball drawn was number 40 and that belonged to Mr James Gold, a resident of Dartford. Congratulations to you James.

Third and final Prize this month, of £50, goes to Mr John Quinn, the holder of number 60. He resides in Braintree in Essex. Congratulations John.

Well done to all of our winners this month and, as always, many thanks to you all for your fantastic support.

Winners! Do not worry as there may be a slight delay in sending out the cheques due to bank issues but these should be sent out towards the end of the week.

I mentioned our need for new members last month as we would like to reach the magic figure of 100 by the time we reach Flamingo Park. There’s 16 balls to achieve this. Please put the word out to family and friends to join. This will increase the prize money and the amount  we give to the football club. You may notice recurring names winning the prizes. Kerry, for example, has possibly his whole family involved. Chairman Gary Hillman has also enlisted a few of his family members and so have a few more. A few have even gone so far as claiming a second ball and one person has three which is above and beyond fantastic.

Both Kerry and myself hope the banking issues are near to being resolved. I had a phone call from NatWest on Thursday and a Complaint handler admitted that we had been badly treated while we were trying to amend the bank mandate. (Nearly 4 months!) Paid us a token amount as a goodwill gesture, which will go straight to Cray Wanderers FC, but still needed signed minutes of our meeting (or a conversation between two people in a pub) to resolve the issue. We still wait. However, we know the bank will never change and will probably do the same to someone else.

Well that’s it for another month.

The very best of luck to you all in future draws and again a big thank you for your continued support.
