A note for Cray Wanderers supporters of the latest additions to the First Team squad ahead of the start of the season.

Mason Saunders-Henry                    Midfield

Cray Wanderers are pleased to announce the signing of wide midfielder Mason Saunders-Henry to the club. Mason comes to Cray Wanderers from Herne Bay where he was a key part of their 2022-23 Isthmian Premier League side making 41 appearances scoring six goals.

Mason came through the Millwall Youth system and a part of their U21s set up. He went on to Whyteleafe in 2019 before going on to Welling United in the summer of 2021 spending a loan spell at Margate. In July 2022 he joined Tonbridge Angels but moved on to Herne Bay in August.

Mason featured in four pre-season games and impressed with performances against Cray Wanderers last season.

Cameron Thompson –  Striker

Cray Wanderers are delighted to confirm the signing of centre-forward Cameron Thompson to the club.

Cameron was an ever-present during pre-season scoring a couple of goals and joins the Wands from Dulwich Hamlet whom he joined in January 2023.

Cameron came through the Youth system at Fulham going through the age groups and was part of their U18’s U21/U23 side and made four appearances in the EFL Cup for Fulham in the 2017-18 & 2018-19 seasons scoring twice.

After being released by Fulham he joined Barnsley in December 2020 making two appearances for the Tykes making a brief loan spell with Darlington. From there he joined Torquay United in 2022 before going on to Dover Athletic and Dulwich Hamlet.

Cameron is a player of great potential and showed his qualities with goals against Welling United and Cray Valley PM in pre-season and we welcome Cameron to the Wands.

Reggie Rye –  Midfield – Academy Graduate

Reggie is one very much for the future having come through the Cray Wanderers Academy side which was set up a year ago. Reggie was the captain of the side which won the AoC Sport London Football Men’s Regional League title with a 100% record.

Midfielder Reggie was also part of the Wands U18s side which reached the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup and made his first team debut in the Kent Senior Cup tie at Sheppey United in September 2022.

Reggie has featured in Neil Smith’s plans during pre-season featuring in every game including with his younger brother Lennie in the game at Wesfield in late July.

The club can also announce that forward Louis Collins has departed Cray Wanderers by mutual consent. We wish Louis all the best with the next installment of his career.
