The Wands Women moved up to 3rd place in the league after a hard fought 1-1 draw at home to 2nd placed Maidstone United.

In a dress rehearsal for the League Cup Final both goals came in the second half. Sarah White scoring for Cray with Aimee Ascott netting for the Stones. Maidstone are one of only two teams to beat Cray in the league along with Tonbridge Angels who maintained their 100% winning record to make it 13 wins out of 13 in a 6-0 win at Kings Hill.

The Wands meet Tonbridge Angels next Sunday on Mother’s Day at Flamingo Park in the Kent FA Plate Semi-Final. Kick off 3 pm.

Defeats for Kings Hill and Margate saw Cray move up to 3rd on twenty points and looking good for a second consecutive top 3 finish.
