Congratulations to the Cray Wanderers Women who yesterday advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Southern Counties East League Cup after a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory at Sellindge Ladies.
Cray fell behind but levelled in the first half through Danielle Smith. The Wands took the lead in the second half with a Chloe Ashdown goal before Sellindge equalised and took the game to extra-time.
There were no further goals and Cray showed their mettle to win 4-2 on penalties and advance to a Quarter Final tie at Tonbridge Angels on 7th January, 2024.
