FA Cup 1st Round Draw – 19/10/26 – 6.30 pm
A reminder for Wands supporters that the draw for the 1st Round of the Emirates FA Cup takes place at 6.30 this evening. The draw is televised on TNT Sports 1, HBO Max and the TNT Sports You Tube Channel.
The draw sees Cray Wanderers and Bedford Town, a tie decided tomorrow as ball no 69. The Wands seek a 1st Round place for the first time.
The 48 EFL 1 & 2 clubs enter the draw and is no longer regionalised. 32 non-league clubs will all be part of the draw with including Cray v Bedford Town 11 ties still to be decided. This includes Leatherhead as the only other Isthmian Premier side after a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to Yeovil Town on Saturday. Please see the list of maybes with quite a few in the Northern end of the draw.
Bradford City are currently the highest ranked team topping the EFL League 1 with Combined Counties South Tadley Calleva the lowest who replay with Aldershot Town tomorrow. From this round it is one game all the way with no replay but penalties after extra-time. Also extensive TV coverage begins with as last season rights shared by the BBC and TNT Sports and usually some FA website coverage.
Let’s face facts it is still going to be a tough game on Tuesday and Bedford Town will be equally determined to reach the 1st Round since 2001-02.
Should Cray go through there are nine clubs in the draw we have met in the FA Cup before. AFC Wimbledon, Barnet, Bromley, Chesham United (replay), Dover, Hornchurch, Leatherhead (replay), Oxford City and Sutton United. There are also eight former winners of the FA Cup in the draw.
All will be revealed later but whatever happens from here this is a piece of history.
