Cray Wanderers made if five wins out of five and took their goals total to 38 after a decisive victory against a Hollands & Blair side in 2nd place. With Cray having beaten the sides in 3rd and 4th places a win today gave Danny Stanton’s side a five point lead at the top of the SECWFL Premier.
Cray took the lead in the 16th minute when Lola Collins netted for the second straight game.
Hollands & Blair though showed their credentials and equalised before the half hour for the first goal Cray have conceded since conceding two in the first half at Kings Hill on the opening day of the season and was 1-1 at half time..
Cray have been a very strong second half team and seven minutes after the break Millie Main was on hand to score her seventh of the season.
Now Cray had their tails up and Ellie Bovill who scored a hat-trick in the Herne Bay Development rout made it 3-1 five minutes later.
It was 4-1 in the 64th minute when Marta Little, a new name in the side this season notched her first of the season.
The Gillingham side pulled a goal back but Cray were pretty relentless and added two more goals before the end scored by the Olivias.
Ten minutes from the end Olivia Coldrick also scored in back to back games following up from a free kick.
The Wands finished strongly and created chances before Olivia Climpson made it 6-2 two minutes from the end and capped a satisfying Sunday afternoon/evening and a great three points.
The Wands meet Hollands & Blair again at home next Sunday and are well worth a watch.
