Cray Wanderers move up to 11th after victory at Maldon & Tiptree and netting five goals on the road to maintain the recent momentum.
Cray got off to the perfect start and went I front in the 6th minute when Ola Ogunwamide’s cross from the right was turned in by the Jammers Sam Wilson.
Cray came close to more goals but Maldon & Tiptree hung in the game but the Wands went up the gears before the break.
On 40 minutes it was 2-0 after a fine buildup with Alex Hernandez and Ade Yusuwho set up Soul Kader for a crisp finish from just outside the box high into the net.
A minute before halftime Cray had a positive buffer as a ball across from the left to the far post fell to Sammie McLeod who slotted in his first Wands goal.
Cray would have expected perhaps a home side backlash but held off fairly comfortably.
In the 74th minute it was 4-0 when from a corner from Alex Hernandez down the right was played to the near post for Ade Yusuff to get in a superb header amongst a crowd of players for his eighth of the season.
Maldon did pull a goal back in the 79th minute when Sam Adeyeye turned home a right wing cross.
A minute later the four goal lead was restored and in some style as Ola Ogunwamide hit another superb shot into the top left corner.
There was still time for Scott Simmons to be sent off for the home side after a sturdy tackle on Jakob Lowe on 86 mins.
The Wands were able to up the gears when needed and a very professional and polished performance and a warm up for Chippenham Town on Saturday.
