Cray Wanderers Squad Update 2025-26 – New Signing – Ashley Nzala.

Cray Wanderers are delighted to announce the arrival of forward Ashley Nzala to the club.

Ashley is an experienced player who comes to Cray from Billericay Town where he made 50 appearances scoring 9 goals including against Cray last season. He joined Billericay from Chatham Town in the summer of 2024 from Chatham Town where he helped the Chats reach the Isthmian Premier Playoff Final.

He began his non-league story at clubs like Hayes & Yeading United, Burgess Hill Town, Southall and Cheshunt and then on to Great Wakering Rovers and Brentwood Town.

He later served Dulwich Hamlet, Welling United and loan spells at Margate and Canvey Island before joining Chatham Town.

We welcome Ashley to Flamingo Park and hope he enjoys his time with the Wands.

Alex Hernandez

Cray Wanderers are delighted to announce the signing of striker Alex Hernandez to the club who joins the Wands from Tilbury where he was on dual registration with Aveley.

Alex has spent spells at Concord Rangers during their time in the National South and also at East Thurrock United and Great Wakering Rovers.  He moved on to Aveley from Concord at the start of the 2023-24 season scoring six goals in thirty two games. He dual signed with Tilbury in October 2024 and netted an impressive 21 goals in 38 games for the Dockers.

Tyrese Briscoe

Cray Wanderers are pleased to announce the first new arrival for the 2025-26 season with striker Tyrese Briscoe coming to Flamingo Park after a brief spell at Welling United towards the end of last season.

22 year old Tyrese came through the Academies at Arsenal and Millwall where he was a part of the Lions U18s and U21 sides. He moved on to Hemel Hempstead Town in the National South at the start of the 2023-24 season scoring twice in twelve games. Tyrese later that season spent a loan spell at Lewes.

Last season Tyrese played in the Isthmian Premier for Hastings United making eight appearances before moving on to Wingate & Finchley where he played twelve games before joining Welling United in March 2025 making two appearances for the Wings.

We welcome Tyrese to Cray Wanderers and hope he enjoys his time with the club.

Meanwhile we say farewell to one of last season’s star performers, Darion Dowrich who has departed the Wands to join Hemel Hempstead Town

Cray Wanderers can confirm we have agreed terms on the transfer of Darion Dowrich to Hemel Hempstead Town FC for an undisclosed fee. The club wish Darion & Hemel Hempstead all the best for the future.

Darion joined Cray last summer and made 47 appearances in league and cups and won Players Player and Young Player of the year
