Congratulations to the Cray Wanderers U15s Girls on a remarkable Quintuple season after yesterday adding the Maidstone Youth Football Boys League Cup to the League title already safely won making it a unique feat for a Girls team to win a Boys League title and cup double. This added to the London County Cup, Kent County Cup and JPL Warriors Cup.
On Sunday 18th May at the Gallagher Stadium, the Wands beat Roseacre Raiders 2–1 with the remarkable Myng McPherson scoring twice and meant she had scored in all four Cup final successes (including two hat-tricks).
Ellie Harkin was player of the match and we wish keeper Frankie Davies well and quick recovery after suffering a ruptured kidney which required hospital treatment.
This makes Danny Stanton’s side the equivalent of Chelsea in the Women’s game and now surely only Europe left now to conquer.
