The Wands went down to only the second defeat of the season as a first half goal won the game for Staplehurst who move three points behind Cray and into 2nd place.
Cray had five u18s players in the squad and despite a Callum Redman red card the Wands were unlucky not to score with the Monarchs keeper making some fine saves and hitting the bar and post but couldn’t find a goal.
The Wands next game will be on Friday 7th November vs Rusthall at Flamingo Park.
