Cray Wanderers Appoint Daniel Stanton as Chairman of the Women/Girl’s Section

Cray Wanderers are delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Stanton as Chairman of the Women & Girls Section of the club.

Wands Chairman Gary Hillman said “The Ladies and Girls Section of the club has grown significantly over the last few years and it was clear that we needed someone to oversee this important part of the club’s growth.

So we are pleased to announce that Daniel has accepted the role of Chairman of the Women’ and Girls Section. Dan has built a reputation for being one of the most successful girls coaches in the country and his record speaks for itself”

Dan has acquired remarkable success and accumulation of silverware over the last three years with the current U15s Girls side winning the JPL National League and National Cup won last weekend. Also three consecutive Kent County Cup’s with the latest won in March this year, the London County Cup also won in March and also won the MYFL U13s Boys League with another cup Final to come on in the MYFL to follow on Sunday.

“I’m really looking forward to getting involved with the Women’s first team and working with a fantastic group of girls and to help them get to the next level.

A big thank you to Gary and Michael Paye for backing me and giving me this opportunity. I am delighted to accept this role and cannot wait to get going.  The owners have big plans and their vision and goal for the Women and Girls side of the club matches mine. Cray Wanderers have allowed me to build an incredible Girls Youth section which is expanding every year.

My role will be to start integrating some of the most talented girls in the South-East into our ladies 1st team.  I’ve had great success at youth level nationally, and I’m looking to replicate this to the Ladies 1st team.  We have ambitions of having one of the biggest Girls Academies in the South-East with post 16 programme.  Cray is a club I love, and the hard work starts now as we build for next season”.

We congratulate Dan on his appointment as well as the remarkable success brought to this thriving part of the club that needed leadership at the very top of the club to move forward.
