Cray Wanderers 3 (Fiddes 2, Hernandez 12, 45+4)
Match Report to follow
Another excellent away result for Cray who withstood steady St Albans pressure in the second half to remain 6th in the Isthmian Premier League table.
Cray got off to a flyer with loan debutant Max Fiddes firing home from Frankie Raymond’s cross in the 2nd minute. Max joins Cray for a month on loan from Dover Athletic and already has successful spells at Canvey Island and Burgess Hill Town.

Ten minutes later it was two nil when Alex Hernandez steered home an impressive header from Adrian Gyamera’s pinpoint Cross.
St Albans came close when Amar Sanghraka was denied by a good parried save from Harry Seaden.
The Wands though were clinical and went three up in the fourth minute of added time through Hernandez after a handball by Jack James in the box.

St Albans were a changed side after the break and James got above Seaden to head into the net two minutes after the break. The home side almost netted again when Kieran Petrie was denied by Seaden.
It was 3-2 in the 56th minute when from a corner after a scramble the ball came to Michael Bostwick to score.
Petrie and Alex Wall came close to a leveller while for Cray Frankie Raymond and Freddie Price were unlucky not score a fourth.
Cray had to withstand solid pressure in the second half especially in the last twenty five minutes but defended stoutly for another on the road victory and make it one defeat in fifteen. The Wands stay 6th on 46 points but deserve credit for a fine win against a National South side last season and a great team spirit and terrific support on the terraces.
