FT – Isthmian Women’s Cup 1st Round – Cray Wanderers Women 1 (Climpson) Sutton United Women 1 – Cray Wanderers win 6-5 on penalties
Congratulations to the Cray Wanderers Women who have advanced into the 2nd Round of the Isthmian League Cup after something of a giant killing beating Sutton United on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Olivia Climpson (pictured) gave Cray a half time lead before United levelled in the second half. The teams had met in the same round and competition two years ago with United winning 4-0.
After a competitive penalty shoot-out Cray held their nerve to win 6-5 and go through to the 2nd Round.
Cray’s next game will be in the league on Sunday 20th September at home to Kent United, 3 pm.
