Cray Wanderers Women continued to wind down the league season with a point at Chislehurst Glebe on Sunday.

The Wands have third place confirmed in the league and were looking for back to back league wins against a battling if relegated Glebe side.

Cray took the lead in the 9th minute with Millie Main converting a penalty for an impressive 24th goal of the season.

On the half hour Ellie Cole who a week earlier was running the London Marathon in 5 hours 7 mins netted her fifth goal of the season and the Wands led 2-0 at the break.

Chislehurst Glebe though showed battling qualities and fought back with two goals in six minutes. First Grace Gills pulled a goal back on 56 mins and then Jessica Lewis made it 2-2 on 62 mins.

In the end the match finished in a draw which puts Cray on 33 points and finish the season with two more matches.

Firstly Cray host Long Lane on Sunday 10th May, 3 pm and then visit Kings Hill the following Sunday to complete the league season with the League Cup Final vs Maidstone United on 28th May.

Meanwhile congratulations to Maidstone United who became champions after a 3-0 win at Hollands & Blair enabled them to pip Tonbridge Angels to the title. Incredibly Tonbridge won their first fourteen games but the Stones kept pace and beat Angels twice which ultimately earned them an unbeaten league season of 16 wins and two draws one of which was against Cray.
