Congratulations to the Cray Wanderers U23s – SCEFL Development League West Champions 2025-26
Congratulations are in order to the Wands U23s who confirmed the SCEFL Development West Champions with a 1-0 win at Kent United on Tuesday night.
Cray in theory only needed a point to clinch the title and in a tight game the match was decided by a second half goal from Billy Wall who notched his second of the season. The win meant Cray finished the season with five straight wins, four away from home.
The Wands went into the game level on points with Hollands & Blair but had a goal difference of +13 so needed a defeat of cataclysmic proportions to not claim the title.
The Wands built on last seasons 2nd place finish by going one better and the result of hard work, enjoyment and attacking and defensive qualities saw the players earned their just rewards. The team also reached the Semi-Finals of the Kent Intermediate Cup and a number of players featured in the first team in the Kent and London Senior Cup.

Congratulations again to Steve Owen, Roy Brooke, Nicky Morley for assembling and coaching the team to success and there are big days ahead for these players.
