Cray Wanderers 2023-24 Season Squad Update – Rio Campbell retained
Cray Wanderers are delighted to announce that Rio Campbell has been retained for the 2023-24 season.
Rio signed for Cray Wanderers in March 2023 from Bowers & Pitsea and made an instant impact scoring on his debut off the bench against Potters Bar Town on 11th March and at Herne Bay on Easter Monday.
Rio had a solid youth career with Barnet, Charlton Athletic and Tottenham and spent three seasons with Chelsea where he made his debut for the U18s at the end of the 2017/18 season. The following season he moved on to Watford and was part of the team which reached the Semi Finals of the FA Youth Cup in 208/19. After being released he joined Swansea City being part of their U18s and U21s set ups.
During the 2022-23 season Rio signed for Wingate & Finchley making seven league and cup appearances and moved on to Bowers & Pitsea making his debut on Boxing Day and made five appearances before joining the Wands.
