Cray Wanderers – The Week Ahead
A busy week ahead for our teams with two matches for the first team plus home games for the U23s and Women’s teams.
We begin on Tuesday 28th January as the Wands head to Wingate & Finchley in a game rescheduled from the 4th January when the game was frozen off. Kick off 7:45 pm. Now, you don’t need a John Kettley to tell you that it has been raining a bit today so please check before travelling to North London as quite a yomp unless you are driving there. Any updates on any possible pitch inspections will be posted here, or the Cray News and Away Day WhatsApp groups, X and the Wands website.
Maurice Rebak Stadium, Summers Lane, Finchley, London N12 0PD
ADMISSION PRICES
Adults – £12
Conc (OAP, student, unemployed) – £8

Please be aware NOT to park in the Rugby Club next door, as they will close their gates and lock you in. There are plenty of nearby streets, although please note not to park on the kerbs and also some surrounding roads have yellow lines.
The Club car park on matchdays is available for Club Officials (Home & Away), Players, Staff and VIP guests only.
Blue Badge Parking: 4 free spaces are available on the front forecourt.
A note also that the Cray Wanderers U23s are in action also this evening (28th January) vs Kent United in the SCEFL Development League West and not in the usual Friday night home slot. Kick off 7.45 pm and will be a great match between the league leaders and 3rd placed United. £5/£3. So if you can’t get to Finchley if the game goes ahead or if it doesn’t then you have another enticing option.
On Friday evening, 31st January Flamingo Park is delighted to host on behalf of the Alma Pub in Swanley, Pep’s Quiz and Games night. 6.30 pm doors, 7.15 start, £5 tickets and teams with a maximum of 6. See poster for details of the evening activities, games and prizes.
On Saturday 1st February, the first team play their first home game since 11th January with Bognor Regis Town the visitors with Cray looking for a rare home win vs the Rocks. Kick off 3 pm – £12/£6 admission, 100 Club & Meat Raffle Draws and plenty of opportunity to begin the shortest month of the year in the company of the Wands for the afternoon.
Then on Sunday 2nd February, the Wands Women who have won their first two games of 2025 play the first of a double header of league games with London Road with the Chatham side hosting the Wands the following Sunday. Cray beat London Road in the Kent FA Plate back in November and their games deserve a good turnout. Please note the kick off of 4.30 pm.
