Cray Wanderers U23s vs Folkestone Invicta U19s Youth Academy – Kent Intermediate Cup – 1st Round – 25/9/26, 7.45 pm
Cray Wanderers take a break from league action on Friday as the 1st Round of the Kent Intermediate Cup sees the Wands host Folkestone Invicta U19s Academy. Kick off 7.45 pm. The tie is played to a finish with penalties if level after 90 minutes.
The Kent Intermediate Cup is a competition played for by U23s, U19s, Academy and Reserve sides and the Wands are twice winners of the competition last won in 2003-04.
Cray have made a fine start to their defence of the SCEFL Development League West with ten points from four games. Last Friday Cray beat Petts Wood & Holmesdale 6-1 with goals from Billy Wall (2) George Brooke, Mark Opoku, Cameron McQueen and Caden Havell-Olding.
Folkestone Invicta U19s play in the National U19s Alliance League B Division and play in a the same league setup to the Cray Wanderers Academy side. They have won one and lost one of their two league games beating Ebbsfleet United 5-3 and lost 2-3 at Dover Athletic.
Cray got to the Semi-Final last year but games against any Invicta side are memorable and should be a great way after a great cup week for Cray Wanderers to end the week – start the weekend.
