It ends in a comfortable win for the Wands Women who make it a great week with a third win and back to back league games.
Kent United came into the game top and had a a handful of ex-Wands in their team like Sam Sharp, Victoria D’urso, Okasia Brown and Storm Arnold but never really did themselves justice first half and were two down in 7 minutes. Firstly, Ellie Rivers put the Wands in front from Emily Symonds pass in the 4th minute. Then three minutes later a slick move ended with Maddie Bone setting up Rivers for a smart finish.
It was three nil on 17 minutes when Chloe Francis fired in a cracker from around 25 yards. Cray had chances to add to the lead with Marta Little hitting the post but it was four nil in the 32nd minute well taken by Adrianna Zak.
Before half time on 38 minutes Francis netted her second and Mia Nelson hit the bar.
Kent United played better in the second half and Brown saw a free kick pushed behind by Daisy Jarrett and had one or two other moments but Cray still threatened and Sarah White saw a shot crash off the underside of the bar.
Cray did score a sixth on 69 minutes when Olivia Climpson finished impressively from Bone’s pass.
Francis on a hat-trick saw a free kick well saved by ex-Wand Sam Sharp and near the end Zak almost got a second but for the crossbar.
In the end Cray had produced a complete performance and move on to 6 points and towards the top of the table.
